Design Down Under | McMahon's Home Episode Five

Goodbye Old House, G'day Dream Home.

Catch up on Episode 5 of Georgia Ezra and Richie Morris' new TV show, Design Down Under! Available now in the US to watch on Magnolia Network on TV, or stream on Max & Discovery plus.

In this episode, a couple has big plans for renovation after moving into their family home. Georgia and Richie try to restore the house’s legacy while making the space work for the clients' modern lifestyle.

A Modern Aesthetic

Georgia & Richie work to create a more modern lifestyle for a family of 4, from a 1970’s Mentone home that has been passed down through the generations. Throughout the kitchen, Georgia & Richie’s goal was to open up the space and create a more modern aesthetic all whilst keeping the original feel of the house. Used as a sink & stovetop splashback is our EZR1010 in Dust to compliment the modern joinery and natural tones.

Functional & Fresh

In the upstairs bathroom, Georgia & Richie worked to remove the bath in order to make a bigger, more functional space. With the floor and wall being wrapped in our EZR1505 Duck Egg Blue Mosaic, Georgia has created a fresh, more modern space that is comfortable to be in.

Marrying Old with the New

Georgia sourced vintage wooden cupboard doors to hide clutter & open up the space. Allowing a more modern aesthetic to evolve, whilst celebrating the legacy created by the homeowners father. The tonal variation in our EZR1010 in Moroccan Pink allows for a warm, homely feel in the living space and compliments the newly installed timber floor & roof.
