Oceanfront Home Turned Timeless.
Catch up on Episode 4 of Georgia Ezra and Richie Morris' new TV show, Design Down Under! Available now in the US to watch on Magnolia Network on TV, or stream on Max & Discovery plus.
In this episode, Georgia and Richie renovate an oceanfront midcentury house for clients seeking a modern makeover. They take on the challenge of bringing different textures to the home to take its aesthetic to the next level.
Give us a WOW Factor!
Georgia & Richie work to create a WOW factor in this Torquay home’s entrance. The initial goal was to turn this house into a home for a young family of 4. In the entrance and living space, Georgia & Richie utilised stacked stone to create a feature wall and add personality to the home. To create some warmth within this space, the floor is made up of our EZR1550 Clay Bejmat tile.
Warmth & Depth.
In the upstairs bathroom, Georgia & Richie wanted to create a warm, homely space. In order to achieve this, our tonal EZTIER1010 Ash has been used as the floor tile to compliment the wooden cabinetry, with a warm custom limestone wrapping around the shower area.
Honouring The Australian Landscape.
In the living room & kitchen space, the aim was to create an open and inviting space, perfect for entertaining (with a big dining table for lots of guests!) with an abundance of natural materials. To complement the picturesque Torquay view, Georgia & Richie played around with the layout of the TV / couch space and created another stacked stone feature wall, featured again is our EZR1550 Clay Bejmat wrapping around the base to add more texture.
