Layered Warmth with Oliva Zellige
Set within the Rocky Mountains and later featured by Architectural Digest, the home balances European influence with rustic restraint. Throughout, materials are chosen not to dominate, but to ground the space with warmth, tactility and longevity.

The Vision: Timeless Craft in a Mountain Setting
The design approach centres on authenticity. Original elements are retained and enhanced, while new materials are introduced with sensitivity to age, texture and patina. Timber, plaster and stone are layered thoughtfully, allowing each surface to age gracefully and feel at ease within its surroundings. Within this framework, tile is used sparingly and deliberately, becoming moments of pause and depth rather than decoration.
The Role of Oliva Zellige in the Kitchen
Installed behind the range and cabinetry, Oliva Zellige brings a quiet rhythm to the kitchen. Its glossy, uneven surface responds to light throughout the day, shifting subtly against antique oak panelling, brass fixtures and honed black soapstone. The result is a backdrop that feels lived-in and expressive, rather than pristine or overly polished.
Here, the tile does not seek attention, yet it defines the mood of the space, grounding the kitchen in warmth and craft while reinforcing the home’s layered, collected feel.

A Subtle Statement in the Powder Room
In the powder bathroom, tile becomes more playful but no less considered. A mix of EZMANO1010 Pot Pourri Chocolate, EZMANO1010 Cream, and EZMANOBRD Tres Chocolate from our Amano range creates a handcrafted composition that feels intimate and textural. Set against deep plaster tones and vintage fixtures, the handmade floral and scalloped tiles introduce softness and movement. Their artisanal irregularities enhance the sense of charm and individuality, reinforcing the idea that even small spaces deserve material depth and character.

An Enduring Foundation
This project is a reminder that timeless interiors are built on thoughtful material choices. When tile is selected for its authenticity, variation and ability to age beautifully, it becomes more than a surface, it becomes part of the story of the home. At Tiles of Ezra, we are proud to see our Zellige and Amano tiles woven into a project that values craft, restraint and enduring design. All tiles are exclusive to Tiles of Ezra.
